Village mountain lake community culture heritage wood and locally rooted architecture

In Funäsdalen we are creating around seventy apartments ranging from forty to one hundred thirty square meters. It has been important for us to design homes with a strong character and form that grow out of the place itself. The architecture carries its own identity shaped by simplicity quality and a presence that aligns with the timber building traditions and proportions of Härjedalen.

The houses are carefully grouped to create a sense of village life where community can thrive. A neighbourhood with movement and presence all year round where people live close to nature and to one another. The homes are located on a beautiful south facing slope in Funäsdalen with sweeping views toward the majestic silhouette of Mount Funäsdalsberget on one side and the lakes Lillskarven and Storskarven on the other.

This is a place where nature architecture and daily life meet and grow together.
